Shoppers should not have to calculate the likely arrival day themselves.
Delivery dates, costs and pickup times
An estimated arrival date makes the choice concrete. Cost and expectations should be available before final confirmation.
Research context: Baymard · Delivery expectations in checkout ↗
Separate production lead time from shipping time; made-to-order needs both. Digital goods need their own delivery explanation.
Try the pattern
Task and expected result
- 01
Shipping shows 49 kr and dates in the same choice; pickup shows 0 kr, location and its own date.
- 02
Switch delivery repeatedly: dates, total and confirmation follow the selected method while the address remains.
- 03
Inspect dates near a weekend in the model test: fictional business days skip Saturday and Sunday.
How to investigate value
Measure confirmed, deduplicated outcomes per eligible checkout start. Define paid orders and accepted credit orders separately.
Watch for side effects
Payment errors, duplicate orders, incorrect totals, unclear arrival dates and discount cost. A pay click is only an attempt.
This is a proposed investigation, not a measured result. Choose one hypothesis and define the audience before testing.
